DIIICE: Data

The DIIICE type for raw facts, records, measurements, or datasets with no interpretation layered on top.

Data is the unprocessed end of the taxonomy — the readings, rows, and records themselves, before anyone has drawn a conclusion from them. The distinction that matters in practice is against Intelligence: the moment a document argues something from the numbers rather than merely reporting them, it is Intelligence, not Data.

Its design-token hue is Warm Violet.

Usage examples

• "A metric reading with a value, a period, and a source is data; the analysis of the trend across readings is intelligence."
• "That CSV export classified data correctly — it carries no interpretation."
