DIIICE: Instructions

The DIIICE type for directives, procedures, steps, rules, or commands telling someone how to act.

Instructions is the prescriptive type — it covers specs, runbooks, guardrails, governance rules, and any document whose job is to constrain or direct behavior. Most of this repo's design and module specs classify here.

The practical test against Examples: Instructions tell you what to do; Examples show you an instance of it done.

Its design-token hue is Amber Orange.

Usage examples

  • "DS_Desktop-Shell classified instructions / subtype architecture-specification — correct, it is a directive document."
  • "A guardrail row is instructions; the finding that produced it is intelligence."
